Reflexology with Cupping

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the use of pressure applied to specific parts of the foot, hand, face or ear that corresponds with specific parts of the body (reflex points) through a meridian mapping grid. Through this grid, points are stimulated that activate a response in different organs and parts of the body. Releasing toxin buildup and blockages (calcium sediment deposits) so that the body can eliminate them freely through the lymphatic system.

Reflexology is a very thorough form of pressurized massage as every part of the foot is worked on. During and after a treatment, the recipient would feel an overall sense of calm as the parasympathetic nervous system is activated and the body begins to relax and repair. The mind calms, heartrate and breathing regulates, anxiety and tension melt away and cortisol levels decrease. Reset, restore and relax!

The History

It is difficult to trace exactly when the history and origin of Reflexology began. It is believed to have originated in China and dates back to 2330 B.C. in Ancient Egypt as pictographs were found in the tomb of Ankhamor.

What is Cupping?

The use of Chinese cupping is an added benefit to Reflexology as it pulls more accumulated toxins to the surface and up the lower leg to be flushed out through the lymphatic system. Specialized cups are put on the skin creating a suction, drawing skin into the cup which increases blood flow and circulation.

What are the benefits?

  • Stimulates the body to release toxic buildup in organs and tissues

  • Assists in opening the meridian channels

  • Improves blood flow to feet and lower legs

  • Improves nerve stimulation

  • Decreases stress and anxiety
